When I moved to a new town back in 2000, I hated it.
I didn’t like the house, I didn’t like my husband going off to work and leaving me with 3 young children, and I didn’t like not having any friends.
All I wanted was to get back to my old lovely life in London in my (too small for 3 children) flat and supportive friendship group.
It took me 2 years to settle into my new community, make good friends, and renovate the house.
It felt like it took forever to get back to feeling comfortable with my life.
Looking back, I realised I could have handled this situation very differently and avoided much of the suffering I had inflicted on myself.
Because I was so focused on resenting my present situation of being in a new place and wanting to be somewhere else, I didn’t take the time to step back and appreciate all the opportunities this new environment threw onto my path.
The same thing can happen in your business.
You can be so frustrated with the speed of your progress, feeling stuck with too little income and too few clients, that you may be missing golden opportunities to squeeze value from where you are right now.
Curious about how you can enjoy and learn from every step of your journey?
Watch this 2-minute video I made for you.
Warmly,
